atha khalu śakrasya devānāmindrasyaitadabhūt-kuto nu bateyamāryasya śāriputrasya pṛcchā jātā? kiṃnidānā bateyamāryasya śāriputrasya pṛcchā jātā? atha khalu śakro devānāmindra āyuṣmantaṃ śāriputrametadavocat-kuta iyamāryasya śāriputrasya pṛcchā jātā? kiṃnidānā bateyamāryasya śāriputrasya pṛcchā jātā? evamukte āyuṣmān śāriputraḥ śakraṃ devānāmindrametadavocat-prajñāpāramitopāyakauśalyaparigṛhītaḥ kauśika bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'numodanāsahagataṃ puṇyakriyāvastu sarvajñatāyāṃ pariṇāmayaṃsteṣāṃ paurvakāṇāmaupalambhikānāṃ bodhisattvānāṃ yaśca dānamayaḥ puṇyābhisaṃskāraḥ, yaśca śīlamayo yaśca kṣāntimayo yaśca vīryamayo yaśca dhyānamayaḥ puṇyābhisaṃskāraḥ, taṃ sarvamabhibhavatīti| mameyametannidānā pṛcchā jātā| api nu khalu punaḥ kauśika prajñāpāramitaiva pūrvaṃgamā pañcānāṃ pāramitānāṃ sarvajñatāmārgāvatārāya| tadyathāpi nāma kauśika jātyandhānāṃ śataṃ vā sahasraṃ vā śatasahasraṃ vā apariṇāyakamabhavyaṃ mārgāvatārāya, abhavyaṃ grāmaṃ vā nagaraṃ vā nigamaṃ vā gantum, evameva kauśika dānaṃ śīlaṃ kṣāntivīryaṃ dhyānaṃ ca prajñāpāramitānāmadheyaṃ labhate| jātyandhabhūtaṃ bhavati vinā prajñāpāramitayā apariṇāyakatvāt| abhavyaṃ sarvajñatāmārgāvatārāya| kutaḥ punaḥ sarvajñatāmanuprāpsyati? yadā punaḥ kauśika dānaṃ śīlaṃ kṣāntirvīyaṃ dhyānaṃ ca prajñāpāramitāparigṛhītaṃ bhavati, tadā pāramitānāmadheyaṃ pāramitāśabdaṃ labhate| tadā hyāsāṃ cakṣuḥpratilambho bhavati pañcānāṃ pāramitānāṃ sarvajñatāmārgāvatārāya sarvajñatānuprāptaye||



atha khalvāyuṣmān śāriputro bhagavantametadavocat-kathaṃ bhagavan bodhisattvena mahāsattvena prajñāpāramitā abhinirhartavyā? evamukte bhagavānāyuṣmantaṃ śāriputrametadavocat-rūpasya śāriputra abhinirhāro draṣṭavyaḥ| evaṃ vedanāyāḥ saṃjñāyāḥ saṃskārāṇām| vijñānasya śāriputra abhinirhāro draṣṭavyaḥ| yaḥ śāriputra pañcānāṃ skandhānāmabhinirhāraḥ, ayaṃ śāriputra prajñāpāramitāyā abhinirhāra ityucyate| evamabhinirhāreṇa pañcānāṃ skandhānāmabhinirhāraḥ prajñāpāramitāyā abhinirhāro'bhinirhāra ityucyate||



evamukte āyuṣmān śāriputro bhagavantametadavocat-evamabhinirhāreṇa abhinirhṛtā bhagavan prajñāpāramitā katamaṃ dharmamarpayati? bhagavānāha-evamabhinirhṛtā śāriputra prajñāpāramitā na kaṃciddharmamarpayati| yadā sā śāriputra na kaṃciddharmamarpayati, tadā prajñāpāramiteti saṃkhyāṃ gacchati||



atha khalu śakro devānāmindro bhagavantametadavocat-kimiyaṃ bhagavan prajñāpāramitā sarvajñatāmapi nārpayati? bhagavānāha-yatkauśika evaṃ vadasi-kimiyaṃ prajñāpāramitā sarvajñatāmapi nārpayatīti? na yathopalambhastathā arpayati, na yathā nāma tathārpayati, na yathābhisaṃskārastathārpayati| śakra āha-kathaṃ tarhi bhagavannarpayati? bhagavānāha-yathā kauśika nārpayati tathārpayati| śakra āha-āścaryaṃ bhagavan yāvadiyaṃ prajñāpāramitā na kaṃciddharmamutpādayati, na kaṃciddharmaṃ nirodhayati| sarvadharmāṇāmanutpādāya anirodhāya pratyupasthitā anupasthitā prajñāpāramitā||



atha khalvāyuṣmān subhūtirbhagavantametadavocat-sacedevamapi bhagavan bodhisattvo mahāsattvo saṃjñāsyate, dūrīkariṣyati imāṃ prajñāpāramitām, riktīkariṣyati imāṃ prajñāpāramitām, tucchīkariṣyati imāṃ prajñāpāramitām, na kariṣyati imāṃ prajñāpāramitām| evamukte bhagavānāyuṣmantaṃ subhūtimetadavocat-evametatsubhūte, evametat| astyeṣa subhūte paryāyo yena paryāyeṇa dūrīkariṣyatīmāṃ prajñāpāramitām, riktīkariṣyatīmāṃ prajñāpāramitām, tucchīkariṣyatīmāṃ prajñāpāramitām, na kariṣyatīmāṃ prajñāpāramitām| tatkasya hetoḥ? prajñāpāramitāyāṃ hi subhūte paridīpitāyāṃ na rūpaṃ paridīpitaṃ bhavati| na vedanā na saṃjñā na saṃskārāḥ| na vijñānaṃ paridīpitaṃ bhavati| na srotaāpattiphalaṃ paridīpitaṃ bhavati| na sakṛdāgāmiphalaṃ paridīpitaṃ bhavati| na anāgāmiphalaṃ paridīpitaṃ bhavati| nārhattvaṃ paridīpitaṃ bhavati| na pratyekabuddhatvaṃ paridīpitaṃ bhavati| na buddhatvaṃ paridīpitaṃ bhavati||



sthaviraḥ subhūtirāha-mahāpāramiteyaṃ bhagavan yaduta prajñāpāramitā| bhagavānāha-tatkiṃ manyase subhūte katamena paryāyeṇa mahāpāramiteyaṃ yaduta prajñāpāramitā? sthaviraḥ subhūtirāha-na bhagavan rūpaṃ mahatkaroti nālpīkaroti, na rūpaṃ saṃkṣipati na vikṣipati| evaṃ na vedanāṃ na saṃjñāṃ na saṃskārān| na bhagavan vijñānaṃ mahatkaroti nālpīkaroti, na vijñānaṃ saṃkṣipati na vikṣipati| yānyapi tāni tathāgatasya tathāgatabalāni, tānyapi na balīkaroti na durbalīkaroti, na saṃkṣipati na vikṣipati| yāpi sā sarvajñatā, tāmapi na mahatkaroti nālpīkaroti, na saṃkṣipati na vikṣipati| tatkasya hetoḥ? asaṃkṣiptāvikṣiptā hi bhagavan sarvajñatā| sacedevamapi bhagavan bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ saṃjānīte, carati prajñāpāramitāyām| kiṃ punarevaṃ saṃjānānaḥ-evamahaṃ sarvajñajñānasamanvāgata sattvebhyo dharmaṃ deśayiṣyāmi, evamimān sattvān parinirvāpayiṣyāmīti| tatkasya hetoḥ? na hyeṣa prajñāpāramitāniṣyando ya imān sattvān parinirvāpayiṣyāmīti sattvopalambhaḥ| eṣa evāsya mahānupalambhaḥ syāt| tatkasya hetoḥ ? sattvāsvabhāvajātikā hi prajñāpāramitāveditavyā| sattvāsvabhāvatayā prajñāpāramitāsvabhāvatā veditavyā| sattvaviviktatayā prajñāpāramitāviviktatā veditavyā| sattvācintyatayā prajñāpāramitācintyatā veditavyā| sattvāvināśadharmatayā prajñāpāramitāvināśadharmatā veditavyā| sattvānabhisaṃbodhanatayā prajñāpāramitānabhisaṃbodhanatā veditavyā| sattvayathābhūtārthānabhisaṃbodhanatayā prajñāpāramitāyathābhūtārthānabhisaṃbodhanatā veditavyā| sattvabalasamudāgamanatayā tathāgatabalasamudāgamanatā veditavyā| anena bhagavan paryāyeṇa mahāpāramiteyaṃ yaduta prajñāpāramitā||



atha khalvāyuṣmān śāriputro bhagavantametadavocat-yo bhagavan iha gambhīrāyāṃ prajñāpāramitāyāṃ bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'dhimokṣayiṣyati na kāṅkṣiṣyati na vicikitsiṣyati na dhandhāyiṣyati, kutaḥ sa bhagavaṃścyuta ihopapanno veditavyaḥ, kiyacciracaritāvī ca sa bhagavan bodhisattvo mahāsattvo veditavyaḥ, ya imāṃ prajñāpāramitāmarthataśca dharmataśca arthanayataśca dharmanayataśca anugamiṣyati anubhotsyate'nubodhayiṣyati ca? evamukte bhagavānāyuṣmantaṃ śāriputrametadavocat-sa śāriputra bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'nyebhyo lokadhātubhyaścyuto buddhān bhagavataḥ paryupāsya paripṛcchya ihopapanno veditavyaḥ| tatkasya hetoḥ? yaḥ kaścicchāriputra bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'nyebhyo lokadhātubhyaścyuto buddhān bhagavataḥ paryupāsya paripṛcchaya ihopapanno bhavati, sa imāṃ gambhīrāṃ prajñāpāramitāṃ bhāṣyamāṇāṃ deśyamānāmupadiśyamānāmuddiśyamānāṃ śṛṇuyāt, imāṃ prajñāpāramitāṃ śrutvā atra śāstṛsaṃjñāṃ prajñāpāramitāyāmutpādayet-śāstā me saṃmukhībhūt iti, śāstā me dṛṣṭa iti cittamutpādayati| prajñāpāramitāyāṃ bhāṣyamāṇāyāṃ deśyamānāyāmupadiśyamānāyāmuddiśyamānāyāṃ śrotramavadadhāti, satkṛtya śṛṇoti, kathāṃ nopacchinatti| ciracaritāvī sa śāriputra tathārūpo bodhisattvo mahāsattvo veditavyaḥ| bahubuddhaparyupāsitaḥ sa śāriputra tathārūpo bodhisattvo mahāsattvo veditavyaḥ||



atha khalvāyuṣmān subhūtirbhagavantametadavocat-śakyā punarbhagavan prajñāpāramitā śrotuṃ vā upalakṣyayituṃ vā samanvāhartuṃ vā upapādayituṃ vā upadhārayituṃ vā? iyaṃ sā prajñāpāramitā, iha vā sā prajñāpāramitā, amutra vā sā prajñāpāramitā, anena vā ākāreṇa liṅgena nimitteneti śakyā nirdeṣṭuṃ vā śrotuṃ vā? bhagavānāha-no hīdaṃ subhūte| neyaṃ subhūte prajñāpāramitā skandhaśo vā dhātuśo vā āyatanaśo vā śakyā nirdeṣṭuṃ vā śrotuṃ vā upalakṣayituṃ vā samanvāhartuṃ vā upapādayituṃ vā upadhārayituṃ vā| tatkasya hetoḥ? sarvadharmaviviktatvātsubhūte, atyantaviviktatvātsubhūte sarvadharmāṇāṃ na śakyā prajñāpāramitā nirdeṣṭuṃ vā śrotuṃ vā upalakṣayituṃ vā samanvāhartuṃ vā upapādayituṃ vā upadhārayituṃ vā| na cānyatra skandhadhātvāyatanebhyaḥ prajñāpāramitā avaboddhavyā| tatkasya hetoḥ? skandhadhātvāyatanameva hi subhūte śūnyaṃ viviktaṃ śāntam| iti hi prajñāpāramitā ca skandhadhātvāyatanaṃ ca advayametaedadvaidhīkāraṃ śūnyatvādviviktatvāt| evaṃ śāntatvānnopalabhyate| yo'nupalambhaḥ sarvadharmāṇām, sā prajñāpāramitetyucyate| yadā na bhavati saṃjñā samajñā prajñaptirvyavahāraḥ, tadā prajñāpāramitetyucyate||



sthaviaraḥ subhūtirāha-kiyacciracaritāvī sa bhagavan bodhisattvo mahāsattvo veditavyo ya iha gambhīrāyāṃ prajñāpāramitāyāṃ yogamāpatsyate? bhagavānāha-vibhajya vyākaraṇīyametatsubhūte bodhisattvānāṃ mahāsattvānāmindriyādhimātratayā| syātkhalu punaḥ subhūte paryāyo yena paryāyeṇa bodhisattvā bahūni buddhaśatāni bahūni buddhasahasrāṇi bahūni buddhaśatasahasrāṇi dṛṣṭvā teṣāmantike brahmacaryaṃ caritvā imāṃ prajñāpāramitāṃ na śraddadhyurnādhimuñceyuḥ| tatkasya hetoḥ? pūrvamapi teṣāṃ buddhānāṃ bhagavatāmantikādasyāṃ gambhīrāyāṃ prajñāpāramitāyāṃ bhāṣyamāṇāyāṃ deśyamānāyāmupadiśyamānāyāmagauravatā abhūt| agauravatayā aśuśrūṣaṇatā, aśuśrūṣaṇatayā aparyupāsanatā, aparyupāsanatayā aparipṛcchanatā, aparipṛcchanatayā aśraddadhānatā, aśraddadhānatayā tataḥ parṣaddhyo'pakrāntāḥ, te tatonidānaṃ dharmavyasanasaṃvartanīyena karmaṇā kṛtena saṃcitena ācitena upacitena etarhyapi gambhīrāyāṃ prajñāpāramitāyāṃ bhāṣyamāṇāyāṃ deśyamānāyāmupadiśyamānāyāmapakrāmanti| agauravatayā aśraddadhānā anadhimuñcanto na kāyena na cittena sāmagrīṃ dadati| te sāmagrīmadadānā imāṃ prajñāpāramitāṃ na jānanti na paśyanti na budhyante na vedayante| evaṃ te prajñāpāramitāṃ na śraddadhati| aśraddadhānā na śṛṇvanti| aśṛṇvanto na jānanti| ajānanto na paśyanti| apaśyanto na budhyante| abudhyamānā dharmavyasanasaṃvartanīyaṃ karma kurvanti, saṃcinvanti ācinvanti upacinvanti| te tena dharmavyasanasaṃvartanīyena karmaṇā kṛtena saṃcitena ācitena upacitena duṣprajñasaṃvartanīyaṃ karmābhisaṃskariṣyanti| tena te duṣprajñasaṃvartanīyena karmaṇā abhisaṃskṛtena saṃcitenācitenopacitena imāṃ prajñāpāramitāṃ bhāṣyamāṇāṃ deśyamānāmupadiśyamānāṃ pratyākhyāsyanti pratikṣepsyanti pratikrokṣyanti, pratikṣipya ca apakramiṣyanti| asyāḥ khalu punaḥ subhūte prajñāpāramitāyāḥ pratyākhyānena pratikṣepeṇa pratikrośena atītānāgatapratyutpannānāṃ buddhānāṃ bhagavatāṃ sarvajñatā pratyākhyātā bhavati, pratikṣiptā bhavati, pratikruṣṭā bhavati| te svasaṃtānānupahatya dagdhāḥ pareṣāmapyalpabuddhikānāmalpaprajñānāmalpapuṇyānāmalpakuśalamūlānāṃ pudgalānāṃ śraddhāmātrakasamanvāgatānāṃ premamātrakasamanvāgatānāṃ prasādamātrakasamanvāgatānāṃ chandamātrakasamanvāgatānāmādikarmikāṇāmabhavyarūpāṇāṃ tadapi śraddhāmātrakaṃ premamātrakaṃ prasādamātrakaṃ chandamātrakaṃ vicchandayiṣyanti vivecayiṣyanti vivartayiṣyanti, nātra śikṣitavyamiti vakṣyanti, naitadbuddhavacanamiti vācaṃ bhāṣiṣyante| evaṃ te ātmasaṃtānānupahatya vivecya parasaṃtānānapyupahatya vivecya prajñāpāramitāmabhyākhyāsyanti| prajñāpāramitāyāmabhyākhyātāyāṃ sarvajñatā abhyākhyātā bhavati| sarvajñatāyāmabhyākhyātāyāmatītānāgatapratyutpannā buddhā bhagavanto'bhyākhyātā bhavanti| te buddhānāṃ bhagavatāmantikādapakrāntā bhaviṣyanti, dharmātparimuktā bhaviṣyanti, saṃghātparibāhyā bhaviṣyanti| evaṃ teṣāṃ sarveṇa sarvaṃ sarvathā sarvaṃ triratnātparibāhyabhāvo bhaviṣyati| te sattvānāṃ hitasukhopacchedakriyayā mahānirayavipākasaṃvartanīyaṃ karma upaceṣyanti| te anenaivaṃrūpeṇa karmābhisaṃskāreṇopasthāpitena samutthāpitena dharmavyasanasaṃvartanīyena duṣprajñasaṃvartanīyena karmaṇā bahūni varṣaśatāni bahūni varṣasahasrāṇi bahūni varṣaśatasahasrāṇi bahūni varṣakoṭīśatāni bahūni varṣakoṭīsahasrāṇi bahūni varṣakoṭīśatasahasrāṇi bahūni varṣakoṭīniyutaśatasahasrāṇi mahānirayeṣūpapatsyante| te mahānirayānmahānirayaṃ saṃkramiṣyanti|



teṣāṃ tathā suciraṃ mahānirayānmahānirayaṃ saṃkrāmatāṃ tejaḥsaṃvartanī prādurbhaviṣyati| tejaḥsaṃvartanyāṃ prādurbhūtāyāṃ ye'nyeṣu lokadhātuṣu mahānirayāḥ, tatra te kṣepsyante| te teṣu mahānireyaṣu upapatsyante| te tatra vikṣiptāsteṣu mahānirayeṣūpapannāḥ samānāstatrāpi mahānirayānmahānirayaṃ saṃkramiṣyanti| teṣāṃ tatrāpi mahānirayānmahānirayaṃ saṃkrāmatāṃ tatrāpi punareva tathaiva tejaḥsaṃvartanī prādurbhaviṣyati| te tasyāṃ tejaḥsaṃvartanyāṃ prādurbhūtāyāṃ tataścyutāḥ samānāḥ punareva anyeṣu lokadhātuṣu ye mahānirayāstatra kṣepsyante| te teṣu mahānirayeṣūpapatsyante| te tatrāpi tathaiva mahānirayānmahānirayaṃ saṃkramiṣyanti| teṣāṃ tatrāpi suciraṃ mahānirayānmahānirayaṃ saṃkrāmatāṃ tatrāpi tathaiva tejaḥsaṃvartanī prādurbhaviṣyati| te tasyāṃ tejaḥsaṃvartanyāṃ prādurbhūtāyāṃ punareva tataścyutāstenaiva akṣīṇena sāvaśeṣeṇa karmaṇā ihaiva lokadhātau punaḥ kṣepsyante| kṣiptāḥ santo mahānirayeṣūpapatsyante| te punareva tāni mahānirayeṣu mahānti mahānirayaduḥkhāni pratyanubhaviṣyanti| tāvatpratyanubhaviṣyanti, yāvatpunareva tejaḥsaṃvartanī prādurbhaviṣyati| evaṃ te bahuduḥkhavedanīyaṃ karma pratyanubhaviṣyanti| tatkasya hetoḥ? yathāpi nāma durbhāṣitatvādvācaḥ||



atha khalvāyuṣmān śāriputro bhagavantametadavocat-pañca bhagavan ānantaryāṇi karmāṇi kṛtānyupacitāni asya manoduścaritasya vāgduścaritasya ca na prativarṇikānyapi na anurūpāṇyapi na pratirūpāṇyapi bhavanti| bhagavānāha-evametacchāriputra, evametat| pañcānantaryāṇi śāriputra karmāṇi kṛtānyupacitānyasya manoduścaritasya ca vāgduścaritasya ca na prativarṇikānyapi na anurūpāṇyapi na pratirūpāṇyapi asya karmaṇaḥ kṛtasya saṃcitasya ācitasya upacitasya| ye kecidimāṃ gambhīrā prajñāpāramitāṃ bhāṣyamāṇāṃ deśyamānāmupadiśyamānāmuddiśyamānāṃ pratibādhitavyāṃ maṃsyante, pratikṣepsyanti, pratikrokṣyanti, nātra śikṣitavyamiti vakṣyanti, neyaṃ tathāgatabhāṣiteti vācaṃ bhāṣiṣyante, tato'nyānapi sattvān vivecayiṣyanti| te svasaṃtānānupahatya parasaṃtānānupahaniṣyanti| te svasaṃtānān saviṣān kṛtvā parasaṃtānān saviṣān kariṣyanti| svayaṃ naṣṭāḥ parānapi nāśayiṣyanti| svayaṃ gambhīrāṃ prajñāpāramitāmajānānā anavabudhyamānāḥ parānapi grāhayiṣyanti, nātra śikṣitavyamiti vācaṃ bhāṣiṣyante| nāhaṃ śāriputra evaṃrūpāṇāṃ pudgalānāṃ darśanamapyabhyanujānāmi, kutastaiḥ saha saṃvāsaṃ kuto vā lābhasatkāraṃ kutaḥ sthānam? tatkasya hetoḥ? dharmadūṣakā hi te śāriputra tathārūpāḥ pudgalā veditavyā iti| kasambakajātāste śāriputra tathārūpāḥ pudgalā veditavyāḥ| kṛṣṇānirjātikāḥ kṛṣṇāhijātikāste śāriputra tathārūpāḥ pudgalā veditavyāḥ| teṣāṃ śāriputra tathārūpāṇāṃ pudgālānāṃ ye śrotavyaṃ maṃsyante, sarve te anayena vyasanamāpatsyante| ye ca śāriputra prajñāpāramitāṃ dūṣayanti, ime te śāriputra dharmadūṣakāḥ pudgalā veditavyāḥ| śāriputra āha-na bhagavatā tasya pudgalasya tatropapannasya mahānirayagatasyātmabhāvasya pramāṇamākhyātam| bhagavānāha-tiṣṭhatu śāriputra tasya pudgalasya tatropapannasya mahānirayagatasyātmabhāvasya pramāṇam| tatkasya hetoḥ? mā tathārūpasya pudgalasya tadātmabhāvasya pramāṇaṃ śrutvā uṣṇaṃ rūdhiraṃ mukhādāgacchet, maraṇaṃ vā nigacchet, maraṇamātrakaṃ vā duḥkhamāgāḍhamābādhaṃ spṛśet, dahyeta vā, śokaśalyo vā asyāviśet, mahāprapātaṃ vā prapatet, upaśuṣyeta vā mlāyeta vā| maiva mahāpratibhayaṃ tasyātmabhāvasya pramāṇamaśrauṣīdyasyeme doṣāḥ saṃvidyante||



na bhagavānāyuṣmataḥ śāriputrasyāvakāśaṃ karoti-iyattasyātmabhāvasya pramāṇaṃ bhaviṣyatīti| dvitīyakamapi tṛtīyakamapyāyuṣmān śāriputro bhagavantametadavocat-ākhyātu me bhagavāṃstasya pudgalasyātmabhāvasya pramāṇam| paścimāyā janatāyā ālokaḥ kṛto bhaviṣyatianena vāṅbhanaḥkarmaṇā kṛtena saṃcitenopacitenopacitena evaṃ mahāntaṃ mahānirayeṣvātmabhāvaṃ parigṛhṇīteti| bhagavānāha-eṣa eva śāriputra paścimāyā janatāyā ālokaḥ kṛto bhaviṣyati, yadanena vāṅbhanoduścaritena akuśalena karmābhisaṃskāreṇa abhisaṃskṛtena saṃcitenācitenopacitena iyacciraduḥkhaṃ pratyanubhaviṣyatīti| yā etasyaiva śāriputra duḥkhasyāprameyatā bahuduḥkhatā vyākhyātā, eṣa eva śuklāṃśikasya kulaputrasya kuladuhiturvā saṃvego bhaviṣyati| tataḥ sa tebhyo dharmavyasanasaṃvartanīyebhyaḥ karmabhyo vinivṛtya puṇyābhisaṃskārameva kuryāt, jīvitahetorapi saddharmaṃ na pratikṣepsyati-mā bhūdasmākamapi tādṛśairduḥkhai samavadhānamiti||



atha khalvāyuṣmān subhūtirbhagavantametadavocat-susaṃvṛtakāyakarmavākkarmamanaskarmaṇā bhagavan kulaputreṇa vā kuladuhitrā vā bhavitavyam| tatkasya hetoḥ? yatra hi nāma bhagavan evaṃrūpeṇa vāgdurbhāṣitena iyān mahāpuṇyaskandhaḥ prasūyate| katamena punarbhagavan karmaṇā iyān mahāpuṇyaskandhaḥ prasūyate| bhagavānāha-evaṃrūpeṇa subhūte vāgdurbhāṣitena iyān mahāpuṇyaskandhaḥ prasūyate| ihaiva te subhūte mohapuruṣāḥ svākhyāte dharmavinaye pravrajitā bhaviṣyanti, ya imāṃ gambhīrāṃ prajñāpāramitāṃ dūṣayitavyāṃ maṃsyante, pratikṣeptavyāṃ maṃsyante, pratibādhitavyāṃ maṃsyante| prajñāpāramitāyāṃ ca pratibādhitāyāṃ buddhānāṃ bhagavatāṃ [buddhabodhiḥ] pratibādhitā bhavati| buddhabodhau pratibādhitāyāmatītānāgatapratyutpannānāṃ buddhānāṃ bhagavatāṃ sarvajñatā pratibādhitā bhavati| sarvajñatāyāṃ pratibādhitāyāṃ saddharmaḥ pratibādhito bhavati| saddharme pratibādhite tathāgataśrāvakasaṃghaḥ pratibādhito bhavati| tathāgataśrāvakasaṃghe'pi pratibādhite evaṃ tasya sarveṇa sarvaṃ sarvathā sarvaṃ triratnātparibāhyabhāvo bhavati, aprameyāsaṃkhyeyataraśca mahānakuśalakarmābhisaṃskāraḥ parigṛhīto bhavati||



evamukte āyuṣmān subhūtirbhagavantametadavocat-ko'tra bhagavan hetuḥ kaḥ pratyayo yatsa kulaputro vā kuladuhitā vā imāṃ prajñāpāramitāṃ pratibādhitavyāṃ maṃsyate? bhagavānāha-mārādhiṣṭhito vā subhūte sa kulaputro vā kuladuhitā vā bhaviṣyati| duṣprajñasaṃvartanīyena vā karmaṇā gambhīreṣu dharmeṣu nāsya śraddhā, nāsya prasādaḥ| ābhyāṃ subhūte dvābhyāṃ pāpābhyāṃ dharmābhyāṃ samanvāgataḥ sa kulaputro vā kuladuhitā vā imāṃ prajñāpāramitāṃ pratibādhiṣyate| punaraparaṃ subhūte sa kulaputro vā kuladuhitā vā pāpamitrahastagato vā bhaviṣyati, anabhiyukto vā bhaviṣyati, skandhābhiniviṣṭo vā bhaviṣyati, ātmotkarṣī pareṣāṃ paṃsako doṣāntaraprekṣī vā bhaviṣyati| ebhirapi subhūte caturbhirākāraiḥ sa kulaputro vā kuladuhitā vā samanvāgato bhaviṣyati, ya imāṃ prajñāpāramitāṃ bhāṣyamāṇāṃ deśyamānāmupadiśyamānāṃ pratibādhitavyāṃ maṃsyate iti||



āryāṣṭasāhasrikāyāṃ prajñāpāramitāyāṃ nirayaparivarto nāma saptamaḥ||
